As the founder of Connery Consulting and OpenComp, Nancy Connery's career in HR Management spans three decades. During this time Nancy worked with Marc Benioff at Oracle and then served as the founding VP of HR and fifth employee at Salesforce.com. In 2007 when Nancy started Connery Consulting she was determined to provide world class HR consulting to help scale early stage start-ups particularly focused in tech. While overseeing a team of 25+ consultants, Nancy has had the opportunity to help advise and build the likes of Airbnb, Airtable, Dropbox, Instacart, Facebook, Live Nation, SpotOn, Twitter and Zendesk along with many others. With a true love for building, Nancy brings a sense of calm and stability to her clients and team members.
On the personal side Nancy loves to split time between the beach and the mountains with her two golden retrievers by her side. Having raised 2 children in the Bay Area, Nancy was also determined to set an example for her girls and other women that it is possible to have a rewarding career. As a graduate of University of Colorado, Nancy has helped several CU graduates start their careers. She has served on numerous boards in the education field and dedicated the better part of 6 years to having a positive impact on homelessness in San Francisco.
Nancy has been lucky enough to have incredible mentors including Marc Benioff and her father. They have both taught her perseverance, dedication and loyalty. Nancy's door is always open to those who need her help professionally or personally.
